What A Way to Start a New Year

After a fantastic few days of visiting with family and sharing Christmas then New Year's and birthdays, it seemed only fitting that I ended up in the emergency room on the evening of 1/1/2010.

Seemed my gallbladder had had enough.

So on 1/3/2010 my gallbladder was removed.

I was able to come home on 1/4/2010 and have been recovering surounded by my wonderful family. We have enjoyed each day, celebrated my 44th birthday on 1/6/2010, and a whole week of snow days for the kids. Tremendous!

Let me just take a moment to thank all those in my life for their love and support. The well wishes, prayers, and daily support has been overwhelming and inspiring. My brother, Dad, Mary's parents, etc. etc. etc. have just been amazing. And my wife - wow! I am blessed.

A great way to start the new year! A problem solved (gallbladder), losing weight (by organ removal and calorie counting), and 24 / 7 time with my entire family...priceless.
