Travelin' Thru

I'm 44, more than halfway Home on average
And it seems the young are only getting younger
I watch my hair recede and my waist proceed
And it gets easy to lose my Spirit.

And with some contemplation I see
That the horcrux (what's the plural of that word)
That sustains me is the fact that my Soul and Spirit
Are alive in many others around me

Family of course, and friends as well
And many that I have touched through my life
Gentle words that I whisper in times of stress
And songs that I sing beneath my breath

A trumpet song that warms a heart
Kind words to my children that fills their mind
A challenge, a struggle, a mountain top view
And the fact that I am sharing my life with you

Mary - you have filled my life and I thank you.
In fact, I love you. Muchly.
